Not much is known about Odea, the Engine Star. It is the source of light and heat and gravity that maintains the habitability of the Conflux, but Catallax research has revealed that its mechanisms are not altogether natural. Some think it is an ancient furnace, built aeons ago by persons unknown. Others believe these beings are still there, waiting just beyond the star’s corona to welcome us to paradise. But no journey into the fiery plasma has ever returned.
