Crews
Excerpt from the Malleon Privateer Memoir, Sailing the Stars, A Privateer’s Life:
Your crew is your family. You may not be brothers and sisters, but common purpose and profit can be as binding as blood. And just like a family, a sailor might occupy many roles over his lifetime. Studious son growing to able men, then aging into learned fathers and grandfathers. The trust and affection engendered by long voyages can last a lifetime. Every crew has a story, a lineage, a common thread that tethers them through lean hard times. And every crew, like every family, is unique.
